Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player claimed his first trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a torrid year, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and eventually separating with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is his initial trophy after the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt after spring of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular reactions on the tennis court had prompted commentators to doubt if his ability to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and compete assertively, backed up by an improved service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky opponent, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional victory, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet defended 4 early-game break points in a close third set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman failing to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
