The Greatest Local Multiplayer Game You Have Almost Certainly Not Experienced Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

Wizard of Legend 2, an procedurally-generated quest centered on spellcasters striving to achieve status as legends, is coming to Nintendo's console later this month. Gamers can get playable Nov. 25, offering enthusiasts of shared-screen titles a second chance to check out one among 2025's top-tier additions in the genre.

A Rocky Launch

The Wizard of Legend Sequel adopted the roadmap of numerous under-the-radar titles. The development team released it in pre-release in October 2024 on PC platforms, ahead of releasing it completely, alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X iterations, in June 2025. When it debuted, it was widely panned. Just less than a third of its player feedback were favorable. The feedback on Steam were "mixed", based on nearly 2,000 evaluations, with numerous players highlighting the unrefined state and multitude of glitches upon release. Gamers on PlayStation and Xbox also criticized that the co-op feature, a huge selling point for the release, mostly failed.

Steady Enhancements

Yet as with numerous early access titles that launch in unpolished conditions, The Wizard of Legend Sequel has improved. Over the past few months, its developers have rolled out several fixes designed to resolve these problems. After playing Wizard of Legend 2 to a greater extent than every other recent title this year, one can assert it's a bit more functional than it was upon release (on Xbox Series X, anyway). It has reached the level where nine times out of ten, I can actually get a co-op session to operate. Pretty good!

If It Works, This Game Excels

And once Wizard of Legend 2 works, it performs excellently. From an isometric perspective, you navigate magic-oriented areas by launching incantations in action-oriented mechanics. Plenty of dashing, a great deal of dodging, plenty of handling spell delays. It's extremely quick and highly imaginative; by combining your magical attacks with a friend's, you can devise powerful synergies.

Nintendo Switch Edition Details

Although the Switch version is yet to be comprehensively reviewed, it's worth noting Nintendo's famously strict approval process for Nintendo titles. The developer confirmed via an announcement that the Nintendo release of Wizard of Legend 2 features all updates that have been released in the current year.
